The section meets three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. The range opening time is from 19:30 to 23:00.

We have a full coaching programme, with schemes suitable for all, from total novices to the experienced county shot. This includes access to a full selection of rifles ranging from light weight to heavy free rifles, this is complimented by a wide range of jackets and other equipment. We also have the use of a Noplel laser training aid. there are also coaches with experience in 3 position shooting and in rapid fire competition.

The emphasis is on competitive shooting with teams entered in all the local county leagues. This is designed to be an inclusive scheme allowing shooters to compete on an equal basis regardless of ability, with members shooting in club, county and national squads. There is a close relationship with the air rifle shooters as well as the full bore rifle section. This allows the shooter to extend and perfect their skills.
